Artist John Jarrett’s rendering of Jefferson Street in Brownsville was unveiled last night during a ceremony to mark the official start of the Jefferson Street historic district revitalization. Hundreds of people gathered on Jefferson Street last night to hear about the plans that begin the renaissance of what was once called Brownsville’s “Black Wall Street.”
