The City board in its first reading passed unanimously an ordinance that would no longer require sealed bids for purchases until the amount exceeds $25,000. In the past any purchases over $10,000 required three sealed bids after a formal solicitation process has been followed. Request for bids requires advertising in a newspaper of general circulation. ...
