It took under two hours for volunteers to deliver Christmas cheer to about 280 families Saturday. The money given—just over $33,000—during the 39th Brownsville Radio Christmas Basket Radiothon was spent on toys and food. The event is cosponsored by Vision Haywood County. Dozens of its volunteers helped buy and organize Saturday’s delivery mission.
