Today is the last day candidates may qualify to run for Brownsville Alderman Ward 1. The special election is in June. The seat was declared vacant after Alderman Antwan Taylor moved from the district. The qualifying deadline is at noon. So far Randy Holloway and Connie Taylor have filed qualifying petitions.
