Sheriff Billy Garrett Jr. said the truck found on fire in a field on Shaw’s Chapel Road near Landfill Road in the predawn hours December 20, has finally been reported stolen. The Penske “box” truck was reported stolen by a Haywood County man the sheriff didn’t identify. He said his department is continuing the investigation.
