Haywood County’s public offices will closed today, April, from 10:30am until 1pm, Haywood County Mayor David Livingston said, so that workers can attend the memorial service for former Haywood County Mayor Franklin Smith. Mayor Smith’s memorial is this morning at 11am at First United Methodist Church. Visitation begins at 9am.
