Former President Jimmy Carter passed away yesterday.  He was 100 years old and served at the country’s 39th president.  According to a federal law, flags in the United States are to fly at half-mast for 30-days.  A state-funeral will be held on January 9; President Joe Biden has declared it a National Day of Mourning.
