The ribbon was cut yesterday on the new Financial Empowerment Center office in Brownsville. The new service is sponsored by Southwest Human Resources. The office is at 1151 Tammbell and provides free professional financial advice and counseling. The help includes advice ranging from debt reduction to student loans. Jordan Howerton is the manager.
