The Tennessee Journal and other state news reporting outlets report Governor Bill Lee’s school voucher proposal is dead. The two chambers still plan to include $146 million in recurring money into the annual spending plan to cover up to 20,000 Education Freedom Scholarships. The voucher bills are expected to be reintroduced next year.
