Haywood County’s Star Academy was front and center before the State House Education Instruction Committee yesterday. Schools Superintendent Amie Marsh escorted three students from Haywood’s Middle School class to Nashville. The Star Academy is funded by a $1 million state grant —the only one of its kind in Tennessee.
