In a Middle Tennessee special election yesterday, Republican Matt van Epps won a US House of Representatives seat defeating his Democrat challenger by about 9 percentage points. Van Epps replaces Republican Congressman Mark Green who resigned from Congress. Republican President Donald Trump won the district in the presidential election by 22 percentage points.
